Rudy's Closes!

Rudy's Restaurant has closed after 46 years at 600 East State Street in Fremont.  Opened as Burger Chef by Rudy, Sr., in 1962, the name was changed years later when he bought the building.  A popular meeting place for generations of family and friends, Rudy's served the last burgers and fries on January 31.

The restaurant, family home and catering building have already been razed for construction of the new CVS store, but you can still remember the good times you had at Rudy's by watching our latest DVD presentation.

Hundreds of Rudy's friends visited the East side institution during its last week, and many appear on our new 95-minute DVD of memories, comments and photos.  To receive your copy, mail $10, which includes tax and shipping and handling, to:

the Fremont Ross Little Giant

Swim/Dive Invitational on TimeWarner

The second annual Fremont Ross Little Giant Swim/Dive Invitational will appear on Time Warner Cable local access on Tuesday, January 15, 2007, at 9 AM and 6 PM.  Aired will be rounds 9-11 of diving and the consolation and final rounds of swimming.

Everyday Productions videotaped all diving and swimming rounds, including the Saturday morning heats, and has prepared a series of DVDs featuring each.  These are:

  • Girls' diving rounds 1-5
  • Girls' diving rounds 6-8
  • Girls' diving rounds 9-11
  • Boys' diving rounds 1-5
  • Boys' diving rounds 6-8
  • Boys' diving rounds 9-11
  • Girls' swimming individual heats
  • Girls' swimming medley heats
  • Boys' swimming individual heats
  • Boys' swimming medley heats

Each of these may be purchased for $10, plus 6.75% tax and $2.50 shipping and handling.

Also available, at $45, plus 6.75% tax and $2.50 shipping and handling:

  • All diving (boys and girls)
  • All swimming (boys and girls)

Boys' and girls' swimming finals only, with both consolation and finals, is $20, plus 6.75% tax and $2.50 shipping and handling.

There were over 600 participating swimming and divers, accounting for over 1500 entries, and we taped them all.

For a limited time, we also have produced a single DVD of diving rounds 9-11 and the swimming consolations and finals for $30, plus 6.75% tax and $2.50 shipping and handling.
